In just a few weeks time, I'll be back in my most frequent international destination - Holland - to help a heap load of people get a better at the sport they love - dressage.
Horses are a sensitive bunch...in a good way. They feel EVERYTHING their rider does in fine detail and it's those feelings on which the horses base their understandings of what actions their rider wants at any given time. Rider movement is communication to them.
Unclear movement leads directly to unclear riding and unfortunately, many of us are very unclear in our movements. Many of us move with large degrees of asymmetry and unbalance due to lifetimes of selective movement cultivation/neglect and injuries. This degradation in our mobility is so slow, we often don't notice it and even when we do, we don't know what to do about it.
That's where I come in.
I help riders become more clear in their movements, increase their symmetry and balance, clear up artefacts of old injuries and become more controlled. As a result, people are able to communicate to their horses in much clearer ways which lead to better riding, sometimes spectacularly so.
I've had riders who were convinced their horses had anatomical issues preventing them from making certain moves who after a few minutes worth of work with me had their horses do what they'd thought was impossible for years.
If you're in the Netherlands and this sort of horsing around sounds good, I'm running workshops and individual sessions at the start of October. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
They feel everything so move how you mean to,
