THE ART AND SCIENCE OF LEARNING

  • The Art and Science of Learning 30 Wellington St London, WC2E 7BD United Kingdom (map)

“The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.” Plutarch

Aimed at sports coaches and teachers, this unique course bridges the gap between science and the practice of learning.

It introduces many of the most powerful ideas gathered from recent research into learning, and shows how these can directly impact upon the quality of learning experiences.

By the end of the course, participants will have a much better understanding of how to support their own learning, and the learning of their students.

The Art and Science of Learning

Richard Bailey and Arton Baleci

London, 14 June 2014

11:00-19:00, 30 Wellington Street, Covent Garden,
London, WC2E 7BD

In this one day event, we will go through:

  • Identify and test your assumptions about learning and teaching, and the impact they are making.

  • Learn about some of the most fascinating recent discoveries in research into learning and how these discoveries can be applied to support your own learning and the learning of your students

  • Understand how to move learning and teaching from competent to good to great

  • Directly experience the excitement and challenges of learning a new skill

We can change your mind about learning in a day but we want to do more than that.

We want you to change the way you learn so that your own learning process is more effective and so that your teaching will also be more effective.

Our one day will just be the start of the process.

At the end of our day together, we will set you off on an exciting learning challenge.

We want you to transform your learning and teaching abilities.
